We postponed the Flourish Workshop at Maxilla Studio in sensitivity to the devastating fire at Grenfell Tower nearby. Instead, we (Rachael Nee, Lisa Nash and myself) ran a free arts & crafts workshop for local families.
It was a small gesture of love that we hope has brought encouragement to the local community.
A really sensitive report from Jon Snow, featuring the work can be seen here.

In this workshop, families will be working together to design and build a large-scale structure as a response to the potential effects of climate change.
We will be stretching our imaginations and muscles to make our fantastical ideas come to life.
Nature in the city (‘The Wonder Under the Westway’)
1st of July
This workshop will draw out from our families of mini-sculptor/architects and their adult helpers an imaginative vision of the future of the Maxilla space to create a ‘Wonder’ - to go beyond what is expected. The workshop will be fun, physical and ‘over-the-top’ in ambition and scale!
The work will be exhibited at the project celebration at Maxilla on 15th July.
